So very thankful for Indian responses such as those below, giving needed information on the class year for our deceased:

Helen Bruner Lush Tanner Class of 1948
~ Betty Dunn Logan, Class of 1949

Helen Bruner is in the 1948 annual as a senior.
~ Connie Pinkston Class of 1950

I believe Helen Bruner graduated with the Class of 1948 - she is in the Senior Class section of the "48" annual.
~ Pat Dean, Class of 1948

Goodloe Harper Yancey III graduated just as WW II was ending.
~ Marian Chambless Sherman, Class of ‘63

Thanks for continuing to provide us with "News and Clues" I know you have gone through a lot personally and also trying to get the computer program to work. It really means a lot to Albany High graduates to read this every month.

As I grow older, I ironically seem to feel more in touch with my high school days. Your work is outstanding and we all appreciate it.

I still am working full-time and love what I do.
~ Scott Cohen, Class of 1963
Library Director, Jackson State Community College
Jackson, TN

Elsie Jay Dunham, now Carr, is someone who received the AHSTimes for a time but somehow fell out of the mailing list. She would love to be re-included. She would have been in the Class of '58 but moved away after the sixth grade when her Col. dad w/ Turner AFB was stationed somewhere else. She lived three doors down from me on Rosedale Ave. Great gal. Elsie Jay Dunham, now Carr, is someone who received the AHSTimes for a time but somehow fell out of the mailing list. ~ Another Indian who slipped out of her class ... but have put her back in her class and let her know. Very nice response below!

Thank you so very much! We currently are in our RV, preparing to leave St Augustine in a month or so, and experience the "last hurrah"...travel our country until we can't travel any more...where we will end up, who knows! Thank goodness for the internet --- will look forward to receiving the news from Albany. I went to Palmyra Elementary from 2nd to part of 6th grade, when Dad was stationed at Turner AFB, lived on Rosedale, between Barbara and Murray David. I used to correspond with Murray, but haven't heard from him for numerous years. I remember Kay Carlson, and (I think) Joe Carson/Carson??? and a Duane Gehle...I may be mis-remembering names. Also Jamie Altman, and Shirley something (?), and something Freeman...maybe the same person. I asked Barbara if she remembered the huge lumber yard fire on the land that ended up as the "new" high school, I think, but she didn't. We reminisced about Radium Springs.

Looking forward to finding some names I recognize!
Thanks again...
~ Elsie Jay Dunham Carr, Class of 1958

Mom, Patricia Ann Rutland (DeBevoise), Class of 1960, receives an email from you. She graduated many years ago (she is 76 now) and I’m not sure when. I am changing her email and wanted you to update her information.
Thank you,
~ Lisa Rutland (daughter)

Thanks for posting the article of my exciting wedding to my beloved Alan Goodridge on FaceBook    . I am formerly Mary Alice Connell, Class of 1960.

~ NOTE:  Just had to share this wonderful event on "News & Clues"!!!

Wearing a soft pink dress and mini veil, the blushing bride appeared unexpectedly from the captain's quarters hand in hand with her tuxedo-clad groom.

That bride, Lacey King, 75, and her groom, Alan Goodridge, 81, were beaming as they walked down the aisle past guests in a surprise ceremony Saturday evening on the Naples Princess.

More than 80 guests sat on chairs or stood as the lovebirds exchanged their wedding vows on the middle deck of the 105-foot yacht docked at Port of Naples Marina.

"The day I found you, love found me," King said as she read her vows. "Each day with you is better than the day before."

Goodridge referred to his bride as "Princess Lacey."

"My love for you knows no bounds and grows deeper each day," he said. "I promise to be a partner worthy of your precious love."

For the full, incredible story ...

*** YOU ASKED ***

?  ~  Helen Blandchard Percilla ... do you remember the name of the movie you were in?

A  ~   I was in it as an extra. Lots of us kids were extras (so many of my former classmates have passed away). It was filmed out and around Albany. 2 boys and a dog. It was filmed in early 1944 ... 81 min.long in black and white. It was directed by Stuart Heisler ... don't remember him at all. Remember running around with other kids. It was quite a well know movie at the time. My step daughter found where she could get a copy for me. Should be really interesting. HA! Will let you know when and if I get my copy! Hugs,
~ Helen Blanchard Percilla Barnhart, Class of 1944
